Has anyone replaced their stock headlight for the HD Daymaker Projecter LED light? If so, i'd like to know how well it works and how hard it is to install. Also, would it be of any value for daytime riding i.e. is it brighter than a stock light during the day.
For $400 I'd like to be sure it worthwhile and not hard to install. Thanks.
There are vids on YouTube of the replacement, IMO it's pretty easy. Some non-Daymaker LEDs seem to have fitment issues with the headlight bucket, but The Daymaker itself is supposed to be plug & play.
I can definitely see a difference in oncoming bikes during the day, yellow light vs the bright Daymaker light. Actually, it's in the dark where some people aren't happy with the coverage area of the light, but this has been addressed on some newer (and more expensive) versions.
I was interested in that particular light also. Would like your experience with it especially after a few weeks/months.
A lot of the after market LEDs had comments about the plastic lens scuffing and getting dull looking after even a short time. I suppose regular use of plastic polish would help.
I'm now leaning back to HID and the stock housing. Interested in others opinions?
you could allways go the LED Bulb route. i bought one and it lit up everything bright. i went another route with a LED light bar instead though. still have it for sale if youre interested
