Hello All,
I know it's a very easy install but with the directions HD gives you, I cannot decipher which arm bolts to which side. Let me get into mopre detail. Of the two black what I call arms with plastic bushings in them that bolt to the frame I do not know which one goes on what side. A picture of one or both sides would answer this question for me real quick before I mount them *** backwards & get frustrated because I have to reverse them.
Uhhhh..don't know how to siplyfy it anymore. Basically, when you buy the HD forward controls for an 07 sportster, the "piece" that bolts to the frame on both the brake side & shift side are differenent...or not the same. No where in the directions (including the exploded view) does it show which one belongs on what side????
hennyhog1, take your time and read the instruction, I had a hard time doing mine too, I was lucky my buddy's bike was sitting side by side when I installed mine, it was frustrating.
just instaled mine yesturday, left side mount looks similer to the stock mid mount, the right side comes up and back to get by the header, note: you will have to remove the front headerpipe, very easy job, ihad mine on in about 20 min
