Agree with Dan, the bike will only draw the amperage it need , the reason that vehicles get damage when jump starting is usually caused by improper use of the Jumpers causing a high voltage spike during connection or disconnection .
Connect the positive cable (red)(+) to the positive post (+) of the dead battery. Connect the other end of the positive cable to the good battery. Connect the negative cable (black)(-) to the negative post of the good battery. Connect the negative cable to a metal part of the dead vehicles engine.

The amperage a starter needs to turn and start the bike may be higher than expected and outside the normal delivery of the system if there is an electrical issue. I would not give it the ability to draw what possibly would be over twice it's normal starting current. This is a good way to melt batteries and weld starter cables to battery posts.

I bought one of these a couple years back, LOVE it.
It does one thing, and only one thing. and does it good.
It has been able to jump a 12v Cummins, AND a 7.3 powerstroke. Not super fast cranking, but it got them both started from dead.
Love it.
