Seems like my battery went dead from sitting in the garage this winter. I've started it a few times however not in the last month or so. What would be the best way to turn this baby over? Thanks.

Best bet ! Is try a trickle charger !
Or even better , A battery tender ! It monitors the Battery voltage
and only charges as needed.
Hopefully it is still good !
The worst things that can happen to a
Bike or auto battery is to let them discharge and recharge over a few times ...
Go to Pepboys or Autozone, spend about $40 for those portable jump start kits or invest in the tender, although if the battery is too far gone, the trickle won't bring it back - it won't even light up when you connect it.
HD has a trickle charger, but Pep Boys has the EXACT same one, part# and all - it was $ 30 in Pepboys. Either one has a permanent connection you hook up to your battery with a waterproof plug - when you're done riding, just plug it in. Best $$ ever spent - just make sure you keep the plug routed AWAY from heat sources: pipes, cyl heads, etc.
If you're going to jump it from your car/truck, make sure the car/truck is NOT running - otherwise you can damage the bike. I never had a problem so long as the car was off. Good luck.
I left the key on (idiot) and the batt went dead. I dont know if you can jump them or not. I was told not to when I called roadside for some reason or another. I just took mine to work and charged it up. I have a tender but havn't used it because I ride it often enough during winter to keep it charged.
If you aren't in a jam to ride the bike, remove the battery and make sure it has plenty of water. Then put it on a charger. Chances are, you haven't ruined the battery, it just needs a good charge. I've jumped my bikes from the battery several times without incident.
