Default Progressive shocks & fork springs

Hi all.
Just got a new (to me) Iron 883 last december. After breaking it in (got it with less than 300m on the clock) I feel the need to upgrade the suspension, since I find it subpar, to say the least.
I'm planning on going with Progressive 430 shocks and fork springs.
Now for the decision-making:
Should I go all out for the 13"? Will a more conservative 12.5" be better?
Will the fork springs raise my front end somewhat?
Sure would appreciate any input from riders already familiar with the setup.
I'd sure love some more ground clearance, but at the same time don't want to screw up the "geometry" of the bike and make it less stable at highway speeds.
Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Much thanks in advance.
Stay cool, ride safe...

The taller shock will give you more travel to soak up bumps better.

You'll want to CALL Progressive, tell them what model you have and they can tell you which front springs to buy to match the rears. This way you'll stay level.

The short answer is yes,....the springs will raise your front end up to account for the rears. But they sell more than one size spring so you have to figure out which you need.

Superlow SUCKED. Any slight bump and there is a "THUNK" in the front. Didn't want to do the rear at the same time so I changed the front monotube. Now it is much better. After that, I changed the rear to stock length 412. FWIW It rides much better especially when the wife is on board.

if youll have no issues touching the ground go for 13" rider sag will have you sitting in the 12.5 to 12 inch range anyway. a spring kit will not raise your from end but keep it front wallowing (stiffer springs) id go for springs and values. . unless you get a mono tube kit or better and go with a more travel version. my 48 takes a 3.25 inch kit, i put the 4 inch kit in it. Also look are you opions for shocks, drag speicalist has some adjustable height shocks so you can run 12.5 or 13. or idk check out DK customs bitubos to be honest. I did 11 inch shock then went to 12" because i wasnt sure if i wanted 13", now on 13.
