I wanted to report that the problem I experienced with the dealer install of the tach and fuel sensor was solved thanks to members of this forum.

Many thanks to the members who helped and to those that still have the problem that I experienced, this will probably solve it.
As regarding the fuel gauge showing 100, 75, 50 25% fuel that is true, however I have found the range remaining mileage to be accurate after checking my mpg at fill up and calculating the remains mileage I would have had based on how much gas remained.
