Having just got into riding at 48, I have a lot of catching up to do, and don't plan to stop anytime in the next decade or three.
Regarding Triumph's: nice looking, classic old bikes, but no experience with 'em. Now if you want to talk about Triumph cars, I can do that (ex-TR4A, TR3A, GT6).
Ride safely my friends!
P.S. - Just turned over 2,600 miles (not bad for 6 weeks time!)

Ditto THAT !! Went from the back of a bike to the driver's seat 2 months before my 50th!! A traumatic, life changing experience made ME realize life is too short ... you may think there are many days ahead to do something, but really, you don't really know. So I will ride as long as my physical and mental health allow me to do so safely. I keep saying "at 50, I finally got a life" !!
I bought a Triumph Bonneville America from this old/old dude, Must have been 80. Had the S scared out of him somehow and wanted it out of site.
Old Triumphs , sunday rides, and rench/ride/repeat. I have had 3 60 eras bonnevilles. All required a lot of wrenching. The chopped one though was sweet.
After tiring of living dying, & successful completion of a year on interferon battling hep c, & being off a bike for a number of years,I decided to die living, & bought my sportster at the end of '04. I'll be 54 young in August, looking at a bigger bike, & more living. There are days when I feel tired, drag myself up to the garage, aching every moment, but get instantly energized the moment I open the door & see my friend patiently waiting for me to throw my leg over. Out the door, & around the corner, I'm younger yet. So, I guess the answer is as long as I can mount my bike, I'll ride. mind over matter, positive energy, whatever it is, vrrrrrrrrrrrrm!
Seriously doesn't even enter my mind. I know of plenty ol' timers who are riding into their 80's. Guess it depends on what shape I'm in. As far as old Triumph's...they're cooler than the new ones but don't compare to a Harley (new or old).
Well Im 29 and I ride a Harley, I do love the older Triumphs but to be tuthfull I think there is no bike like a Indian . I wish they came back Id sure love to own that and my Harley
When I cannot safely hold it up, assuming I am still mentally there, I will add a sidecar. I see no reason why I can't ride a sidecar rig for as long as I can drive. My wife will be old and decrepit and sit in the sidecar and our kids can take away the keys to everything at the same time. But they better be prepared for a fight..............
I plan to buy mine in the next few months (at age 27) and I don't plan on stopping until, at an old age, I have to convert my bike into a trike to maintain balance. Then, I'll still ride around the nursing home parking lot with my wife.
