Question engine light lights up

I took the pipes off to install the passengers footpad, after put the pipes back the engine light lights up.
It's because I ddi not replace the gaskets?

Did you remember to reisntall / reconnect the o2 sensors ? It might be possible the gaskets could be an issue, and your bike thinks it is lean due to an exhaust leak.

I did connect the O2 senser, is it O2 cables very easy to break? Revzilla video says all ways replace the gasket. So it very likely to be gaskets issue, right?

Wink

no sense in guessing, pull the codes and search them.

no idea what bike you have so here:

this post is old (AND NEEDS TO BE UPDATED), so the method has changed with newer bikes, the trip/ODO display switch button on the left control housing took the place of the ODO reset. sub that button for every instance of "odometer reset button" in the post below on newer bikes.

Very much this. My post was to "check the basics". aka, did you remember to plug the o2 sensors in. I'm not saying you did or did not. I just know the "human factor". You know.. The "I Got **** bolted back on, lets fire it up and ride!!! - Ruh roh, something isn't right" dealio. It happens.

Hear, hear. Get the codes from the speedometer. Next double check the connections to the O2 sensors.
