USAA. Outstanding service. Their rates generally are extremely competitiveexcept their motorcycle insurance is pricey. I'm retired from USAA and no, we don't get discounts, but since all my other insurance is with them I also insure my bike with them. When it comes to mixing insurance companies among your various posessions, this is a good time to have all your eggs in one basket.
Farmer's Ins. Group on the sporty at about $300 every six months and Farm Bureau on my 14 year old son's 250 at $84 every six months. A couple of houses and lots of vehicles with both companies, no claims.........so no problems. I havereally good Farm Bureau agent which is why I stick with him for almost everything. After the F5 tornado went through here several years ago he was one of the few agents that spent several days with his adjuster, and checkbook, in the field paying claims on site and helping people with immediate needs...........sold me.
I did have State Farm the first 6 months, since I've had all cars, homes, rental properties etc with them for years. But I discovered, at least in my case they were WAY more expensive. When I told my State Farm agent I wasn't going to renew the motorcycle policy, they told me, that was probably a good idea to insure the motorcycle with a company that specializes in that type of vehicle.
Also, in years past, many years past. I had a HORRIBLE experience with GEICO. If they were the only option for insurance, I'd just sell the cages and bike, and buy a few horses.
I had Progressive last year. I had 1 bad customer service episode with them that prompted me in anger to shop around. I cooled off, but found that Geico cut my rates in half (almost), so I went with them!!
I have Geico I pay 136.00 a year for full coverage. I have State Farm for my home, 2 autos a boat and my life insurance, and they wanted 300.00 a year for the same coverage. I have never made a claim with State Farm for the 30 years I have been with them and they would not budge on their price.
