Hey Folks! I just purchased a 2012 883 Superlow for my wife and I'm looking for recommendations for a windshield (without a fairing). Thanks in advance!
I have the exact same one on my 2011! Easy to remove and refit, although to be frank mostly for cleaning the bike, as it is so effective when on. There is also a shorter version I believe, so take into account the height of your wife when seated, to be sure she can see over it, as there is only a limited amount of vertical adjustment available.
Both Mrs B and I ride the bike, which is fine well into the 80mph range, although we do wear ear plugs.
That's the same one I have on my Superlow as well. It isn't as cool lookin' as no windshield but it sure makes riding more pleasant. Easy on and off too. I bought clamps to relocate my blinkers to the forks and they will fit fine with the windshield as well.
@grbrown, You can get your xl883 up to 80 mph? Mine is screaming at 65. I wish it had a 6th gear!

I rode mine to Vega$ and back last year, often cruising at 70 mph. It could use a 6th gear, but it's fine without a windshield.
