Does this mean the 07 RKC pulley can be used on an 07 sportster to gain more top end?

Yes it does, but you will have to change out the mounting bolts I think you will need either longer or shorter, I cant remember it was a couple or three years ago.

And I see that the 07 RKC's rear sprocket comes in 2 versions. the 66T, and the 64T for japanese models. Hehehe... great choices for increasing top end.

yeah but the Jap model may have those rubber things in them to where the pully does not bolt directly to the wheel Check it out real good before you order.

Will do, thanx for the heads up. I'm just planning ahead for when I upgrade to 1275cc. Then I'll be ready for the RKC sprocket. Since MoCo screwed up the softail line, I feel like it's worth making my sportster more tour-capable. At least for now.

FWIW, I used my stock belt, but I had to put the belt on the pulley before I put the axle in.
Not picking a fight here, but a larger pulley in the rear will increase low-end torque and lower top speed.

Think about that 10 speed bike again.

When we raced BMX back in the day, the smaller front sprocket guys always got the hole-shot on the gate drop, we could usually catch up, but that crucial quick start got them out in front at the beginning.
