Daymaker headlight vs Amazon knock offs

I've tried two of the Amazon lights on my wife's 2017 Sportster Custom and both tripped the red charging system warning light so I had to send them back. She's running the stock light now but I'd still like to find a less expensive Daymaker alternative. Any ideas?

the Wisamic is what I put in. Its a great headlight, plug and play. Although I thought it would never fit all the way into the bucket with the plug pigtail. I just keep messing with it and I finally found a spot where it FINALLY sat all the way in. Well worth the battle

Sunpie seems to be well regarded on this forum. The description on Amazon states it will not fit a 2017 Iron. No mention of 2016. Is there something different with 2017s?
I have a genuine Daymaker, it's great, but I thought about buying a backup in case it goes since I do a fair bit of night riding.

I've been running the Wisamic headlight in my 2014 Sportster C for about 6 months and it's going fine. I've done several road trips with it. Only issue I've had is occasionally after a long day of riding, I sometimes get the high-beam indicator appearing on the dash incorrectly. And I think it does register a fault when this happens. But it clears the next time the bike is stopped and started. Aside from that it's been working fine. There's no need to compare it to the HD Daymaker. My only consideration is that it's a big improvement over the stock incandescent headlight that comes on the Sporty.

I’ve had wisamic headlight in my bike for a year and a half and couldn’t be happier. The only issue I had was the factory chrome bezel didn’t hold the new housing as tight as I liked. I ended up shimming it a tad with some left over rubber I had laying around. Way better then spending 8 times for a factory daymaker.
