so what do you all think Harley has planned for the sportsters future?...monoshock rearends coming in 2019?...
they'd be crazy to do mono shocks on a sporty. Sportys dont have the handling issues of the old big twins and the rest of the formula works too well to. Messing with the one of there best-selling bikes would be crazy.
6spd tranny (c'mon Baker) and a more powerful m8-ish evo are probably in the works.
Watch out...'19 might be the end of the Sportster line-up...
Doubt it
With the demise of the Dyna line, the MoCo has left a gap that's now only filled by rice burners.
I would not be surprised if the sportster line grows up and takes some of that slack.

I only have one gripe with my Sporty and it's inherent across the line. That two seconds it takes for the words "Gears/RPM" to scroll across the digital display drives me nuts. I wish it was instantaneous and hope Harley changes it.

If it's going to compete with the rice burners they need to lighten it up and give it more power, much more power but try to get some of the old Harley sound back.
The 2018 big twins are short enough for 5'2" ladies and the streets are the beginner bikes now. Since they're no longer the beginner or girls' bike, no reason left for Harley to build Sportsters.
My '04 1200C will be a collector's bike then so I can advertise it on Craig's List for $20,000.

Except for the reason that they sell like hotcakes and it's the only old school Harley model left. They need to bring it back to its roots and make some scrambler models like the 58 xlch
