Now that I have my bike back together, I'm wondering which oil you guys prefer. Dino or synthetic? which weight? It is ridden in weather from 40 degrees in the morning and up to 100 + in the afternoon.

There are plenty of comments in the oil threads. It's a personal choice. For me,
Syn3 in the engine, formula + the primary/tranny
Formula + the primary/tranny. From an engineering standpoint, it's best since there is no filter and it is nondetergent gear oil. Detergent motor oils keep crud in suspension so filters catch it. Either will work from new but don't switch back and forth.
yeah, just did a search and found hundreds of opinions.
I have no idea what previous owner has been running in it. I've put about 7000 miles on it, and the oil still looked pretty good.
I have a quart of 20/50 synthetic oil left from last oil change, and was thinking about it, but not sure if it would work.
I happen to be heading to Spokane today, so will stop in at the Harley dealer and grab a quart of their Formula+
