Question Sportster "No Cal" error Code?

My wife has a 2007 Sportster 883. Last week her speedometer stopped working and contained the error "No Cal". I've tried searching the internet to see what that could mean but can not find anything. Ive disconnected the battery for a couple hours hoping the error would reset, but no luck. I've removed the sensor and cleaned it and again unplugged the battery for a couple hours and that didn't do anything either. I turned the key to the on position while holding in the speedometer button to see what codes come up, but that doesn't do anything either. the needle cycles through, and the lights turn on and then off, but it still reads "No Cal"... Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated. I don't want to just go and start buying parts to try and fix it without knowing what could be the problem.

Thank You!

No calibration? IDK. I have an old cable driven speedo so can only guess. Time to call the dealer.

will have to go to the book but from memory, the no cal means there is NO calibration in the rom. the info would relate to speedo ratio and/or where the machine is to be sold. however, check the dealer since hd started using the ecm for such but have no idea when or which without looking. so if the speedo can be flashed with new software good to go but if not, the rom is toast.

No Calibration. Its either the Speedo or the ECM. Youre going to have to take it to your dealership so they can hook it up to the Digital Tech and pin point the problem.

So I'm taking your advice and made an appointment with the dealer. I was trying to avoid that, but looks like thats really my best option. Lets hope its nothing major!
Thanks for the info everyone!
