Default Reset bikes computer.

I'm fairly certain my bike has a tune from the last owner. I think it's partially to cause for the random hesitation I get at idle. It feels like it's being choked. No CEL. Factory air box, straight pipes.

Is there a way to reset the cars computer so I can start from scratch? 07' 1200 Custom.

No you cannot "reset" the ECM but you can upload different tunes depending on your bikes set up. You can get a tuner such as a power vision and tune the bike your self. Do a little googling about the sportys ECM. There are a lot of threads on here about it. Your
ECM has a program that reads the various sensors on your engine then using that data reads various maps to control the fuel delivery, spark advance a few other things to your engine.

I just found the Fuelpak that came with the bike from the last owner. Does anyone know if these are hard to use?

It hasn't been connected to the bike since I took ownership. If it's not connected does that mean it's not tuned or does it set the ECM and you can disconnect after that?

Connect the Fuelpak to the ECM, download the smartphone app and connect to it via Bluetooth. It's all pretty straight forward. You can call V&H and they'll step you through it all, too.

I recently bought a bike with a fuelpak, If it's the older model fuelpak LCD the fuelpak app won't work, you can get maps HERE. I was able to remap mine without any problems just be sure to enter the correct number in all modes.

If the fuelpak was used as the first device to remap the ECU then it will have saved the original tune to V&H web server. If you put the bike back to stock you will be able to put the factory tune back in the ECU.

Go to the V&H website and read the instructions on how to use it is my advise first. Then come back if you have any doubts or questions.
