If you would like to know what it was like to ride Nortons and Triumphs and BSAs etc. over a half century ago get a rigid mount. Don't ever remember complaining about engine vibration then and it doesn't bother me now with my hard mount. They still make beautiful 6 cylinder Honda Goldwings if this is a problem for you.

I've never ridden a rigid. A friend who had one told me, "you could see something in the mirrors, but you couldn't tell what it was." I have a rubber mount, I can see what's in the mirror just fine. 
But it is vibratey.
