I have a 2013 seventy two that needs a new rear rotor. Apparently Harley has discontinued the oem rotor. I bought an aftermarket ebc rotor that was claimed to fit. When I attempted to install it, the 11.5 inch rotor was too large. The oem rotor i took off is about 10 inches. No aftermarket rotors I see fit this. What is going on and where can I find parts that will fit?
I have a how-to thread on here to relocate the caliper to accept the larger rotor. I will try to find it. You also can do a search..there are others who have done it. If I recall you only need a couple of things....
Thank you! You're a life saver. I've been pulling my hair out trying to find one of the discontinued rotors, trying to get technical support from HD, on the phone with JP cycles trying to figure out why they sold me the wrong part, I even visited my local bike mechanic to get his take. Nobody had answers.
Now I've got a solution and parts on the way.
A sincere thanks to you.
Were there any issues with the thickness of the 11.5" rotor? I see a lot of the aftermarket rotors are 5mm thick and you mention that your stock rotor was 7mm. Looking to do new rotors next year since I chromed my swingarm this past winter and now it sticks out like a sore thumb. This helps immensely!

I don't recall the thickness of my rotor but did not have any issues.
Just measured the thickness of my rotor and it was 5.8mm
