Is anyone else as impressed with kuryakyn's stuff as I am? Whenever I get one of those "Gotta-Change-This" ideas for my bike, I eventually end up going with them. No, I'm not banging their drum, they're just my favorite for aftermarket ideas and DooDads.
Honestly, I am not fond of them. I ordered some arm-rests for my Glide last April (yeah, yeah, I know - I have a Sportster too ) and they were supposed to be available "Summer" of '06. I waited and waited and waited and finally got the things in May of this year - fully a year+ later than what they promised. When I did finally get them I found the installation instructions inaccurate and had to modify the procedure and even go out and buy the proper SS screws for the install. The rests were covered in some cheap looking plastic material which I recovered using an old leather couch cushion that I had stashed away. Lucky for me the leather matched my seat exactly.
My wife likes the final product but after dealing with them I would not purchase another of their products... I tried - I ordered a set of passenger foot pegs but was informed they were on backorder til July. No thanks. Been there, done that. Promptly canceled my order and went elsewhere.
I hate back-ordered stuff.... I finally got my passenger pegs, so I'm happy. HD has them on backorder for some reason. Also, ever since I bought my Sporty, E-Bay has a whole new meaning too!
I bought some gripps and mirrors from them. I like the quality of thier products. b/o parts is a differant problem. but there are alot of after market co. out there that sells their parts, so if they are out of it you may find what your looking for elsewhere for the same price they sell it for.
