Anymore it's almost impossible to tell what a player is using to get a 'certain sound', especially if the person knows how to use the controls on the guitar and amp.

Here is a little 'test' for you.

Couple of small clips, and see if you can guess what type of guitar was used.

Little hint, the same guitar was used on both.

You gave it away JW. I can tell the difference between all my axes even distorted.

Actually those clips were made with a James Burton Signature Telecaster (shown on the left below next to a Signature Muddy Waters that I have)...

Sure, I have a bunch of Stratocasters, but I also have a number of Telecasters and a few Gibsons (LP's and SG's)..
