In 1969. Harley had a 100cc motercycle made in France and a 900 Sportster that was really a 882cc motorcycle. The bigger bikes were 1200's that were really 1274cc's. in the 80's they came out with the 1300's and later years the larger motors. The 1200's are consitered a big twin by harley. My 2.

LOL! Oh well, I tried.. One more thing. I asked Harley why the 883 didn't have the side mounted horn. They said because it was only sold on the big v-twin bikes and you can orderer it for 350 bucks but comes standard on the 1200's.
They are too kind hearted towards their customers.
