I did the Progressive monotubes upfront and their Cruise 412 12.5" on my Nightster but still not happy with the ride. The front doesn't seem to soak up the bumps as good as I would like. So I'm thinking of going back to springs with intiminators. Racetech? Progressive? Other? I've heard the Racetech's are a bit firmer and better road feel while the Progressive are more plush. I'm leaning towards plush so I can do more miles comfortably. 230lbs and I have a good seat. I def want to go up another inch for more travel and clearance.

The RaceTech High Performance Springs & Progressive Springs with Intiminator were given a 55-60 because while the Race Tech were a little stiffer, which was preferred for road feel with aggressive riding, the Progressive were a bit plusher ride for cruising, but not quite as good of a feel for aggressive riding.
I personally am running the progressives with the intiminators, for the same reason you mentioned...I want it to be a bit more on the comfortable side. Devin, who is 25 years younger than me, prefers the RaceTech springs. Even though they are also comfortable....they are a bit firmer.
No other set-up was better than this for the Sporty, until you got up in the $1000 and higher range.
Thanks Kevin. You guys are the ones who gave me that feedback Super customer service as always. Just looking for some other user options. You know,..to REALLY muddy the water.... lol
