Hello, Im replacing my stock headlight with an aftermarket LED headlight with a halo ring onto my 2015 883. I came into some problems following YouTube tutorials I wanted my headlight to turn on/off with the bike so I spliced the yellow wire and black wire from the harness plug to the red and black wire of the new Bluetooth control box. So yellow to red and black to black. The Headlight halo ring turns on but low/high beam do not. Then I spliced the black wire from the harness back to the original stock plug. Now only my High beam works and the halo ring and low beam dont turn on. I need some major help.
When I did mine, my new light had a plug and play wire harness plus 1 extra wire for the halo. Just splice the extra wire from the light to the yellow wire of the bike's harness and the halo will come on with the low beam. Sounds like you have 2 extra wires? Red and black? Then probably red to yellow and black to ground. You need to tap power from the yellow wire (low beam) and not completely cut it by wiring it only to the power wire for the halo.
I wired mine so that only the halo comes on with the bike and then a separate switch to turn on the low beam. High beams functions as normal

I want the low beam to turn off as well I think I shouldnt have cut the whole black and yellow wire off the headlight plug to connect to my headlight harness. So I can splice both wires to the plug so its powering the plug and the halo at the same time?
Yes, you need to reconnect your bike's harness back to OEM. The harness from your light should just be plug and play. And you tap the low beam to power your halo. This will give you normal light functions plus halo.
to have the halo come on instead of low beam, you will need to rewire your light's harness so that the halo's wire replaces the low beam wire that goes into the light's plug. Now the halo will come on when the bike is on and your high beam will function normally, but you will not have a low beam.
To have the low beam work you will need to use a switch and relay to run power to the light's low beam wire so when you flip the switch the low beam will activate.
Thank you so much it worked! But now I have a problem. The bluetooth box is too big to fit all the wires behind the headlight even though ive seen a video on YouTube a guy with a Dyna fit everything behind his headlight. So now I dont know what to do! He said he zipped tied all the wires but even still I have an inch protruding the headlight.
