Default 76 Frame Help

I recently bought a 1976 Sportster and someone cut off the tabs that you attach the seat to. I have circled in a picture what they removed. Does anyone out there have dimensions on this so I can fab some new ones and get it welded back on. I have searched the interwebs but to no avail.

Thank you all for any Help you can provide.

First off, to get better measurements I would have to remove the seat. That involves put on the lift, remove shocks, jack it wayyyy the hell up, unbolt the rear seat mount bolt going into the bottom of the seat, front seat mount and pull off the seat. SO, here's the best I can give ya with the damn seat on. Front Seat mounting bracket - 1" wide bar stock, the bottom of the bolt through hole is 1" above the frame. The bottom of the missing bracket also has a hole through it, but nothing really bets bolted to it. Looks like a pretty simple bracket to make, however it limits you to obsolete seats. I would suggest find a newer Sportster seat and fab a bracket to fit it. MUCH easier option.

If you can wait until later tonight, I can measure the one from my '72. That may not be helpful at all though because they may be different style.

Scuba,
Thanks for the help but it looks like in 73 they changed that. I uploaded what dimensions I have on the frames.
