I had a 1997 XL1200S many years ago. At the time, I removed/replaced the stock tank and fenders and they've been sitting in a relatives basement for many years. I need to get them sold.
As mentioned they are from a 1997 1200 Sportster Sport. To the best of my recollection, the chassis platform changed for model year 2004?
Which years will my 1997 metal be compatible with? They are "States Blue."
I know the rear fender is only a direct swap for 1997 and 1998 models because the tail light is different. The tanks vary a bit, but will bolt up from 1986-2003 with different hardware. Just keep in mind that the 2.2 gallon tanks have the petcock on the right side, so you'll need a petcock if you switch from the king tank.
