Risers on 07 1200L

Has anyone tried to put risers on a 07 1200L? The ones that I am going to put on are about 2 inches taller than the factory ones. The bike is already fitted with min-apes so already has longer clutch brake and throttle cables so I am not concerned about those. What I am concerned about is the wire harness that runs into the back of the speedo. Is there enough slack in that cable to run the additional couple of inches. Thanks.

should be.i just changed to drag bars with a 2" taller riser on my 07 nightster.no problem at all.

yes,powder coated risers and bars.im working in austin texas,and i live in fort worth,200 miles away.when i commute home this weekend,i will try to figure out how to post pics.i totally dig it,it makes the bike look cleaner in my opinion.

how much extra slack in the wires did you have? i am looking to do 6" risers, but it sounds like I am going to have to extend the wires. I would rather avoid that if possible.

Does anybody know the dimensions of the stock 1200 Low handlebar?....My measuring skills are not the best....need the rise and pull back figures....I asked the dealer....but the parts guy couldnt tell me....any help would be appreciated....I am thinking about changing to a taller riser and something with less pullback as I am not real happy with my hand position....I tilted the bars forward...and that helped alot....but I know the look I am after...just not sure what I have now to get a base line.
