Default Progressive 412

Hay all,got a question?????

so I have a person selling a pair of chrome progressive shocks for a great price. He has the part# 412-4005c which fit 89 to 02 sportys. Online for my 13 is part # 412-4063. Looking at photos online these parts look identical and seem the same. Anyone know the difference between these 2 items? will his be able to fit on mine bike?

You could ask Progressive Suspension. They're pretty responsive, even if you're not planning to purchase from them directly.

Damping is different, I think spring rate too. But before spending $ on some, check out this Report on rear shocks HERE. You can do Much better for the same or little more in price. The 412's will be better than stock, but not a lot better.

Check out this chart excerpted from the report link above.

Talking

So as an update, I went to check these progressive 412" and got a hell of a deal. after checking the product out took a chance, thought worse case I can resell.
After getting to the garage and jacking the bike up, it was a perfect fit. No issues at all and on the plus side she threw in a set of brand new saddle bags (Willie and max brand).
after looking them up online these exact bags retail 149.99. I paid $100 for all. I feel like I stole this one.

Took the bike for an hour spin and what a difference smooth as hell, no bottoming out on big bumps on the road and coasted over the smaller bumps. Actually felt 10 times better than stock..
Now i just ordered my 2-1 cobra power pro RPT full exhaust and my bike is done for now, or until i found some more goodies to add on.

So in all since i bought the bike 2 years ago i have added a mustang seat, PCV, Screaming Eagle intake, rear signal light converter to stop and signal, quick release HD windshield, HD Day-maker came with the bike, Get a grip (grips came with the bike) sissy bar with luggage rack came with the bike) progressive 412's saddle bags a new HD half helmet with retractable screen.
Now i just need a crash bar and new pegs and i'm done. Oh bike also came with that HD tachometer with the RPM and digital speed with multi color LCD. That thing is pricey, but nice.

You're done for now! You own a Harley - you're never really done my friend. Ride often and ride safe!
