RE: almost hate to do it........DID IT...............
Excelent job and so fast too. You should check out http://www.quadcambastards.com/index2.htm
They have an awsome forum thats right up your alley. Don't worry about the sceptics, there are still buttloads of anniversary models out there because they were overproduced to make them worth anything.
RE: almost hate to do it........DID IT...............
The new chopper looks badazz!!! ... With that said.... The sporty was waaaaay too nice to tear up IMHO.... Why did you buy such a beaut as a parts bike?
RE: almost hate to do it........DID IT...............
I think the chopper looks better than the Sportster did. I never did like the Anniversary ones... (especially the new 105th... that copper color is hideous)

Being that it's an anniversary model I wouldn't have done anything that was'nt reversable, but thats just me. Looks great by the way, enjoy the new ride.
The bike had 8000 miles......I only gave 4,000 for the bike......as far as the 100th anniv......yes it will be worth something one of these days..........probably about 25 years......hell Im not opening a museum.........just trying to ride kool motorcycles................LOLIFE...........

Hmmmm.. I wonder if that discarded seat would fit my bike..
Sorry but sadly... no it won't. That seat will only fit 87-03 I believe. Too bad too since it is one of the few comfortable factory Sportster seats.
LoLife: sweet Chopper! I liked the bike in it's stock formbut you have made one Hell of a nice ride outta it! And I agree that thereis not any real extra value in the anniversary models as of yet. I'd certainly feel better about paying more for the bike in it's chopper form than it's stock form even though the 100th looked wayyyyyy better than the Fugly 105th bikes.
RE: almost hate to do it........DID IT...............
thanks for the compliments guys.............................Like I said before..I paid 4k for the bike....I used the motor, coil, rear brake caliper, and rear brake master cylinder...thats all....I ebayed everything else....after all shipping, paypal andlistings fees....Imade back$3100.....do the math...thats 900 for motor and rear brakes......Im in my chopper rite....Not that its for sale, but when the time comes I should make a little money...........This was my first build.....The knowledge that I gained Is priceless.....................LOLIFE.......
