Default clutch issues

07 883custom. Clutch ramp loosens up. Now.....I had everything apart before. Could the bearings that go into the housing that hold the rod for the clutch ramp be in backwards or doesn't it matter

Have you replaced your clutch plates at some point? If not, it might be that the springs on the spring plate are breaking off, which is what happened on my 1200 07 XLC.

What it's doing also is.....I get a vibration in the clutch handle. Acts like it's not completely in gear. Now if I can snap the clutch handle it seems to go into gear. As if the gears are not catching. A little play in clutch handle then it's tight. I went in to adjust the clutch and the ramp, that's when I saw clutch ramp was loose.

Also when I start to depress the clutch from 1st to 2nd you hear a sqweek in the cable. While I was on my way to work this morning, sitting an idle at a red light it sounds as if it was to go from 1st to 2nd gear .sounds if it's trying to shift

There's a rivet plate in the pack that is known to fall apart, sometimes it literally falls to pieces and can do damage to the primary assembly. Have you pulled the plates out and checked that? If there's debris in the clutch pakcthat could be causing the inconsistency you feel at the lever
