New chic.. made it 2k
So reflecting on my trip I've discovered a few new likes and dislikes.
Like:
Sunny 75 degree days
Smooth, twisty roads
Small mom and pop diners
A light rain
Other Harley riders stuck in their cage for the day. To the guy in Sisters, OR who let us into traffic... you were driving alarge white SUV with a Harley emblem in your rear window... YOU ROCK!!! To the gal in Springfield, OR who waved us around so we wouldn't be separated from the lead bike... THANK YOU!
A Jacuzzi and ice cold beer after a LONG day ofriding.
My MOM riding BOB with my dad... If it wasn't for her weak bladder my dad would NEVER stop. His Ultra Classic is a bit more comfy on long hauls than my Sporty.
Mom pounding on dad's helmet nagging him to pull over.
Good company andfantastic beer
AMERICA... what a beautiful country. God Bless my dad and all of our soldiers who have fought and willfight future wars so that I can enjoymy freedom.
Relaxing on my bike looking at the country side thinking.... "God it is great to be alive. I am SO lucky to have this opportunity".
Seeing the Spruce Goose
A good cup of Joe in the morning
Showers designed for people over 4'9". (What the hell!!! Is there some "short person convention that does nothing but travel and sleep in hotels? I'm 5'9" and those showers SUCK!)
Dislikes
The wind in the Columbia RiverGorge (Crap! That SUCKS!!!)
Torrential downpours
Anything livestock related... cattle haulers, dairy farms. eck.
Skunks
Highway 101 from Newport to Florence OR. (Whoever paved that mess needs to be shot.)
Cagers on cell phones
"Motorcyclist use Extreme Caution" signs... (WTF???? Does that mean?)
Freshly paved roads... with lots and lots and lots of tar... in 97 degree temps.
Semi's passing you onthe above mentioned freshly paved road... son of a gun rocks HURT!
Seeing someone drive their Ultra Classic head on into a cement Jersey barrier on I-5. Since the paramedics were just standing around... it couldn't have been good.
Suicidal Birds... I'm going to start putting Prozac in bird feeder.
Deer... when they're standing in the middle of the road... looking around like "Huh, What, You talking to me???"
[font=arial][size=3]The bug.. that somehow survives the 65mph impact, crawls under your face shield and strolls around your ears, nose, mouth and eyes for 50 some
