I bought a new V45 Magna in 1984 $2700 and thought it was cool at the time. I loved the bike. Used it for 100 mile commute every day and put 40,000 miles on that bike with no break downs. I had a hard time keeping a rear tire on it. The power in that V-4 was addictive.Back then chrome fenders were flashy. BSA brings back child hood memories. To each his own.
I have two riding buddies with Number 8: Yamaha Roadliner: Ugly is as ugly does. If you look carefully at the trailing curve of the front fender, you'll think it's an optical illusion. The Art Deco overlay on this bike is like styling a minivan inspired by Michael Keaton's Batmobile. can someone please tell me what those triple lines are doing around the frame neck?
one has a puke greenwith black saddle bags the other guy hasburgundy without saddlebags IMHO they are even uglier in person.
One of the guys tried to trade his in on a used Ultra but HD dealer would only give him 8k for a bike he owes 12k on.
The first time I saw the green I wondered WTF were thinking buying that---and it wasn't cheap.
