I started a meet up type post over on the SE forum section a while back. I even had a Sportster then. I don't do FB. If you don't want to keep it only Sportsters then you might get broader response in another section. There was a similar post in the General section but I used the regional forum since it seemed more appropriate. I thought that some kind of PM message tree could be set up where interested parties would use PM instead of the board.
Did you ever have any success in pulling a group together?
Nelson County is a beautiful area to ride and live!

No. But I haven't put much effort into it. I was thinking that riding to a meet and eat would be a simple thing and a way to meet some folks. I usually head out on Sunday AM because there is so little traffic and this conflicts with a lot of folks schedules with church and family. I am sort of retired and also ride during the week. The big thing would be to get people just to look at posted rides in one place and then they could chime in. It is pretty cumbersome to do it on a forum but I thought a message tree would work--PM seems preferable to me setting up details. I am not real good at the computer stuff but I think such a thing would work within the system.
It is nice to ride around here. I moved here about 20yrs ago. I have been up to Leesburg a few times. A friend's family used to have a winery just south of Duckett? and when he was up from TX I would visit there with him. I don't mind heading out east but prefer the SE more than NE part of state and go over to WV a lot, too. I ran over to Tappahanock for a burger a while back to test seat on new bike. Put a Mustang on last week, lol. So there you have it.
