The harley dealers dont carry many parts at all for older then 25 years....however, there is a HUGE parts catalog at other places, like J&P Cycles. They carry almost everything including stuff for Pans, Ironheads and so on.

ORIGINAL: FandA M

Early Evo's 86-90 may be a little tricky to find high performance parts .They are out there but choices can be limited, even on common parts.I like to think outside of the box a little so this made hotrodding my '90 a bit more difficult and expensive. For some reason there isn't a big market for these years.Parts for Ironheads and 91-up can be found all day long.'85 and up are all Evo's.Personally, I prefer Ironheads(pre '85) but they usually involve a little more wrenching(sometimes alot) and you really can't beat an Evo for reliabiliy.

Flyrite makes some excellent frames and rollers at a great price.Check out Carolina Customs for Sporty frames and rollers also, as they have some great stuff.I'm about to do a rigid frame project with my '90 and these are my top two choices .Hope this helps a little
Thanks's for the information, that helped me a bunch. The 91-03 seem to be what I need, love to have an Ironhead but I don't have the skills necessary...

I know what you mean about the skills, but you learn real fast, especially on the side of the road [sm=smiley4.gif]
Too bad you're not in Fla. There is a '91 Sporty w/1800mi.(yes 1800) in the paper for $3500.I'm sure $3000 would take it.
You could make a nice reliable short chop for under 6000 or somewhere in that neighborhood depending on what you want.Thats why I love Sporties........
