I just went to a local shop yesterday looking into getting one of the 1200 Customs in the silver and black they show on the website only to be told that the MoCo has stopped offering it in those colors, so I walked.
Just WTF is up with that?? Is it even true? I can't believe that in these financial times that even the MoCo could be that disconnected and stupid! They advertise the color combo and then refuse to produce it when somebody wants it. Their dealers surely just LOVE that bullsh!t.
The 2020 models / colors will be available in August.
The factory usually stops tours during the model year change in the July time frame.
Maybe there are no more production runs of XL1200Cs for 2019.
There was a similar situation with one of the touring color combinations. Turned out to be an issue with the paint supplier. Dealers could order any color but that particular combination. FWIW, the website also shows the 2018 models/colors, and dealers can't order those either.
After looking and calling around, I've found that apparently there just aren't any to be had.
And John Harper is right, none even offered in Vivid Black, either. WAY too much coke and heroin consumption goin' on there these days, it seems like. I have no clue what they're thinking.

What website did you see it on, the dealer or the MoCo?
I've seen it advertised on both, but there aren't any out there in that color combo. Very few of any color as far as I can tell. IMO, it's just the old "Bait-n-Switch" BS, no more, no less.
Screw it! There are plenty of other quality brands out there that actually sell what they advertise.
Sounds kinda like the dealer didn't have one, and didn't want to take the time to find one. HD still shows them on their website.
My initial thoughts exactly, but upon calling a sales guy that I trust, it appears that they were being truthful.
Every time I've been in that (and other) dealership(s) lately, I've been essentially the only customer there, so that might have helped keep 'em honest. No way they'd let me walk if they could help it, I'd think.
