have you had any issues after the conversion with the 04? How much hotter does it run? More vibration? and what about oil consumption.
I have an 883L and am happy with the power. Of course, I have been mulling over the conversion in my mind and wondering if I should do it or leave it as it is. It's pretty damn perfect as it is and I don't want to create new problems that never existed before..
anyway, getting off topic. I changed out the mufflers to vance and hines straight shots, replaced air filter with k&n high flow and rejetted with 48 jet. F-ing awesome.
Has anyone left there Sporster Stock,I have 2 883"s the 2006 is Stock, the 2004 has been converted to a 1200.
Not I....'00 883 to 1200 conversion, Ness BS II, Bassani Chopper exhaust, etc, etc....
rob i.....I had some issues with an oil leak at first, but the Indy guaranteed his work so he fixed it for free. The heat is approximatelythe same as before,(I don't have the temp. reading dip stick)[8D] No added vibration on mine at normal idle/riding throttle, and no extra oil consumption.
My '07 883R is totally stock.I onlycollected it brand new from the dealer 5 days ago and have no plans to make any modifications in the foreseeable future.
