This may have been asked but searching is tough on my tablet.
I have 2009 Sportster xl1200c, I installed a Cobra 2 into 1, all else is stock. I then added a Cobra fi2000 with closed loop, meaning still have O2 sensors in the circuit. The bike surges at cruising speeds and from Cobra and other research it is supposedly normal. But I hate it. I switched gears to change engine speeds which stops the surging temporarily. Cobra says not to change first pot on tuner. I haven't fooled with that dial yet because don't want backfiring. It runs great otherwise. What do I need to do to get rid of that surging feeling? Remove O2 sensors and get a different tuner? Wish I had researched a little harder before I bought the tuner.
Some will say go with a Powervison, but my fix was dumping a tuner that still used the o2 sensors and went with a FuelMoto Micro EFI that eliminated the O2 sensors. https://www.fuelmotousa.com/series-1...efi-tuner.html

Thanks! And this completely removed the surging? Fuel mileage stay about the same?

Their map was OK but a little rich. You can modify the maps front and rear cyl on a laptop. After tuning my maps it's smooth as can be.
MPG is fine, around 45 mpg on the highway. Plus they give lifetime support. Tell them any issues you have and they will adjust and email you a new map.
