Heya folks, my 2002 XLH 883 Hugger never came with a left side cover which covers mainly the battery. Ive been searching online and all i see is 04 and up. If these older tears never had a cover what could i use other than a saddle bag
@wolfsm the seat is good but I recommend to let the shocks on the bike
The alterations are completly removal of all the oem battery and bracket parts and make a smaller one and afcours another smaller battery. Welding some new
parts on the frame to hold the new battery bracket and side cover. The battery I have now is great, it's a Shido LTX16CTN lithium with 360 CCA and is very small.
The oem battery wont let you install the cover since she is to big, you really need a smaller one beacuse on a 2004 and up the battery placement is different. Another option is to change the complete
setup from the oil tank and then you can use the oem battery but then we are talking about a all weekend job .
