I bough a different brand for a little less money. The reason I went with the one I did was that the Low beam lumens was 3800. The one you posted is 2800. This will make a difference on how bright it is at night. I have bad night vision so I wanted to make sure I got a lot of lummens
Well scudda
To be honest I didn't even look at those numbers, duhh! Well others seem to think the difference was huge, so hopefully I forget what you just said .

That sucks. Wonder if the light buckets are different? I hate it when stuff does not fit.

Thank for the tip on lubing the connectors. Will have to rob my sprinkler system connectors for the dielectric grease
[QUOTE=Midpegs;18418366]I also have a 2004 Roadster . I've found your original post with the pictures . Mine was apparently kept for a number of years in someone's living room as a ornament so it's very fresh looking . It's slightly closer to stock than yours but essentially the same bike . I've just ironed out the last of the bugs with mine . You might want to replace the carb/ manifold gasket because mine was loose at roughly the same mileage . Replacing It made quite a difference to the performance .
What a great showroom condition Roadster! I didn't give too much for mine with 19K on it last August--it's still running great at 24K and I have added bitubo shocks, progressive front springs an the usual tune up stuff along with Avon Cobra's. Gets around 55mpg with just me riding and looking at cows. I plan on doing the breather mod through the air cleaner backing plate later and will add a K&N--so will replace that gasket at the same time just because. Thanks!
I got the Wisamic one. Cheap, super easy install. Might be more difficult on different years, but mine has a nice, snug rubber ridge under the metal ring, so fitment and alignment was easy once I squeezed it in there. I've never ridden at night, but I'm still too new of a rider to feel comfortable with that. I got this suspecting that it would make me more visible to drivers due to looking unusual.
Here's the black version of the Sunpie headlight, same as the chrome version in post #1. Looks like it has over 600 reviews and a 4.6 out of 5.0 stars. I might pull the trigger on this one, though I'm considering the Wisamic version which looks identical, in the link below. Also 4.5 out of 5.0 stars
Ok mine came today and I installed it. Sorry no before n after shots. It looks like it is pointing too high. What size is the nut for the headlight adjustment? Getting ready to take it on a short night run to test the light, and will adjust when I get back.
Back from the test ride, and yup its a little high. Will have a look tomorrow. I am bushed. Still need to know the adjustment nut size though, if anyone remembers.
