I ride a 07 Nightster. I've decided to ditch the spoked wheels because of the salt air here in Alaska. Shopped for a black mag and was shocked at the $1000 a piece prices. Turned to eBay but of course couldn't find anything model specific. So now I'm trying to figure beyond rim size what will fit my bike. Anyone have info for that?
I've seen some swap for Iron rims. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...-ironster.html. Aside from Spokes, the iron rims do look good on it.
For cleaning the spokes, I use 0000 fine steel wool. Really shines them up nicely.
Brand new stock wheels from HD are often only about $330 to $450 or so each from one of the discount vendors, though that does not include bearings or a spacer. HD went to 25mm axles in 2008 so you would probably want something older than that. You can figure out what swaps directly by looking at bearings, spacers, axles, etc. at http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.....asp?make=hdmc
