hey everyone, after having some symptoms of backfires and hard starting + a 20 year old bike i was led to believe i was in need a new ignition module. I ordered an ignition module from Tatro Machine and what i received was an Ultima Single fire ignition system. I took out my old module, hooked up the new coil and wired the new module directly to the coil. i used the diagram provided to me for single fire and did my static timing.
I also installed a Pingel hi flow petcock with a new fuel line that is slightly bigger than my old fuel line. I did not wire the Voes.
the bike will try to start, and i have a boom that sounds like a canon or a gun shot coming from it and a blue flame out of the front exhaust. the boom has been happening since before i replaced the module.
any ideas what might be happening? i messed with the tuning screw under the carb a little before the new install and the idle screw from the low idle and dying i was experiencing before i did the swap.
