I just got a fork brace off a buy sell trade page, and it came of a 2012 sportster, but it appears not to fit my 14 sportster, as with boots off it is too loose, and slides around, but with it over the boots, i cannot get it onto the bike period. Has anyone else had this problem or know how i should go about solving it? As the brace looks like it is made to fit over the boots, but is to small to do so.
Some models of Sportster come with larger OD forks than other models, so it sounds as if the brace you bought came off a Sporty with the larger forks. If you visit the Shop tab on the H-D website you will see three different styles of brace.
