Differentiating 883 models
Hi all, I’m the proud owner of a 2019 XL883N. I’m confused as to what the prefixes and suffixes mean?
I’ve seen N, C, L etc..
Can anyone explain what they mean?

Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of Harley-Davidson.
XL is the designation for Sportster - the product line. The suffixes refer to the specific model. L is "low", C is "custom", N is "Iron" (for 883).
The 1200's also have specific models and letters. You can see them at http://www.ridersinfo.net/harleydavidsonmodels.html

I did my research before posting but couldn’t really understand it.
I do now.
This is is my dream machine since I was young (I’m 52)
(probably called an Ironhead? Back then?)
