Nice, I was thinking of doing something similar to increase the rear visibility of my Nightster. How difficult is the wiring installation? I'm assuming there isn't a need for a load equalizer if you are adding an LED light to the stock rear stop/signal lights.

I had the bike in for service and had then install (my wrenching skills are subpar). No load equalizer needed

It looks good. Do you have a run/turn/stop in the back so your turn signals act as brake lights? Do you have bright LED's in your turn signals? The reason I ask is that not long ago I was driving in heavy traffic and in front of me was a guy on a Harley who had a similar brake light but no turn signals, so no other possible brake lights. His fender run/ brake light was so poor that I could barely tell if it was even lit, and when he hit the brakes the difference in brightness was minimal. I was really afraid for this guy getting rear ended at some point.

My point is, make sure you're safe before finishing the project. Have a riding buddy follow you to get an idea of how the lights look on the street. Good luck!

Appreciate this post. That was reason for install of this one though acting as brake light. I had my son in law ride in front of me so I could determine the visibility.

I have ordered the run / turn / brake for the Indian as I ride it more at night.
