Default Tank Question

I have a 2009 883 low and want to switch out the bigger tank for the more tradition Sportster (Peanut) tank. Any one know what hears will fit.? I'll probably try to find on one ebay.

Thanks.

2007+ should all be for EFI.
I don't think the frame/ tank mounts changed over those years.

I paid about $275 for mine on Facebook Marketplace.

Tanks on ebay have gone up quite a bit and people are paying over $200 for dented tanks last I looked

Also keep in mind that HD paint is expensive. I had a tank painted Pearl Yellow and it cost over $350 just for the paint because the Pearls are two part paints (plus clear)

There is different seats depending on tank size. Your seat may not fit or may look kind of stupid after the tank change.

I appreciate everybody's feedback. Looks like I have a purpose for swap meet season here ins Western Pa.

Luckily the bike is Vivid Black. I can handle the color change if I don't find a black tank

I saw several at the Harrisburg bike swap meet but did not pay attention to the tank prices. Unfortunately (fortunately???) I was on my bike so I could not take much home with me.

I believe Timonium in MD has a fair sized swap meet section but it may be a bit far from you.

And Andy brings up a good point, the 4.5 gallon tanks are longer than the 3.3 or 2.2 gallon tanks so if you swap tanks you will have a gap between the front of the seat and rear of the tank.
