Default Thoughts

I have a 48 with quick detatch sissy bar. I purchased a T Bag laptop bag and planned on mounting it backwards with t bag sitting on passenger seat. I found a nice fender bib and given this bike is only for 1 up thought about removing the passenger pillion and sitting the t bag on the bib. The computer is solid state so think I’m good there. I would think this would damage the fender. Thoughts?? Pic of bag above

Also what do I use to cover the hole where the stock passenger pillion slides into (steel piece about 1/2” high)?

thanks in advance

I would suggest installing some clear automotive bra material under the bib to limit paint marring.
Dents, I am not so sure as the bag may have foam between the computer and the bags out covering.
Any damage to the fender I'd think would be a result of vibrations or road surface "potholes".
Covering the hole? That's a fender support mount yes? Button head screw should work. Else an automotive "fir tree" or plastic plug so to say.
Good luck.

If you have HD detachable hardware there is a nice rack that fits in place of the pillion seat.

There is proper plastic plugs for the holes in the fender.

See black plug in fender in above link.

I suggest going the route Andy mentioned or using the below mount with an aluminum plate attached with holes drilled for tie downs

Get the tour-pak and just put the laptop inside.

Thanks for inside folks. I have the quick release backrest and think the only luggage rack option bolts on. Was hoping not to keep luggage rack on when I didn’t need it.

You can get a set of brackets off ebay and make your own rack. If that pic is your bike, leave the pillion seat on and set the bag on it. No worries.

That definitely seems to be the easiest

Figured out how to do this. Goal is clean fender without passenger seat. Issue is I need passenger seat when I carry laptop. Solution will be to get one of those $20 suction cup seat to put on fender when I carry laptop.

A Motherwell solo rack makes for a clean look here. I use one on my Custom when I ride solo.
