I know this has been talked about a few times, but nothing lately I think. Has anyone got floorboards with mid-controls on their Sporty? I have the HD 'mini' footboards fitted at the mo, and they just don't work for me. I used to have full boards on my last bike, a Dragstar XVS650, and I much prefer having the full resting place for my feet. Plus I find thanks to the odd angle of the clevis (presumably), I end up resting my feet on the clevis rather than the mini board anyway, otherwise my foot is at an odd angle when I need to apply the rear brake, which I find uncomfortable.
I like the look of the Dr Boot Mini Bullet Boards, but it will be $100 (plus extortionate import and handling charges) to get them here to the UK, so I'd rather find somewhere I could get something over here. Any thoughts/suggestions please? I don't have the facilities to fabricate my own, and I don't have the tools to grind down the clevis unfortunately.
Any $10 - $20 Dremel knock off will take care of that little clevis. First thing I did after purchase was take somebody's full floor boards off. They were hideous and unsafe.
I have the mini foot boards on my forward controls and love em.
