Thanks for the info guys...I think I'm just going to buy a 10mm Allen Wrench...I don't think I needed to try to take the exhaust off...do y'all think that's a good idea? This is just to take the brake/peg off...let me know!
Which allen screw do you think is 10mm and do you mean a hex driver? The bracket that bolts to the frame to hold the footpeg and brake peddle is not metric.

Sorry, I meant hex...the 10mm is very snug in there, but I'm back in the house...its 6AM here so I don't want to be clanking outside haha.
If you grind about half an inch off the appropriate Allen Key it gives you enough clearance to remove or fit Mid Controls without disturbing the front exhaust down pipe ( Header ) But it sounds like it's a bit late for that .

Thanks for the info! I'll try both methods...with the allen key and if that doesn't work, taking the whole darn exhaust off. I have one more day off before work so I will get it done today!
