1995 XLH1200 Air Cleaner harness
I just got a big sucker for my 1995 1200 and there is a wiring harness connected to the factory air cleaner that's not there on the big sucker. Does anyone what the purpose of this cable is I couldn't find a reference to it anywhere.

It's for a solenoid valve that closes off the aircleaner when engine off. It's probably a Cali bike. My 1991 had a reed valve in the aircleaner that basically did the same thing. It's an attempt to seal the engine when off, so fuel vapors don't escape into the atmosphere.
