accutronix has a web site with a rake and trail calculator.. figure everything out in advance of anypurchase to keep the trail in spec/ I would rake the frame first and add raked trees after to keep the trail in line. Mine is raked 35 and 3 in the trees with 4" over stock hugger forks.

Or just buy one of the chopper front end kits so you don't have to mess with cutting the neck. AME is maker, as well as Seeger

or

That's what I'm looking into. So if I ever want to put it back to stock, it is only the matter of throwing the stock parts back on & about 8 hours of my time.

I went the AME route... for the same reasons WVHogRider mentioned...

I've had it on for about a month now and love'n it...

I would mention to you that when you alter the front end, even if you keep the trail in spec, be prepared for a different handling bike...

Kicking out the front end tends to make the front end heavy at real slow speed... under ten mph...

It's something you get use to pretty quick though...

I see on seegercycle.com they have a set of 5 degree raked trees for 450. I wonder if i put those trees on, how bad would it affect the trail...any takers?
