Internally wired handlebars

I picked up a set of 2018 low rider handlebars that are made for internal wiring. My 2016 sportster 48 has tallboy handlebars that are not set up for internal wiring. Other than the unfilled hole, what are the down sides to using the low rider bars..

Some internal wire bars don't allow for external wires because they don't have a dimple on the bars at the perch.
You can get chrome looking zip ties.

The low rider bars should work nicely for your 48. Just label the wires when you unplug them to keep track. My 11 Custom has similar bars and are internal wired, and keeps a clean look.
